Why should I donate blood?
Because Blood donation saves lives.
Blood products save lives and improve health. Blood transfusion is needed for:
- Women with complications of pregnancy, such as ectopic pregnancies and haemorrhage before, during or after childbirth;
- Patients with severe trauma, such as car accident victims
- People with blood disorders, such as anemia or sickle cell disease
- Many complex medical and surgical procedures
- Cancer patients
Because blood can’t be created synthetically
Volunteer blood donors are the only source for blood, platelets, and plasma. Millions of patients receive transfusions each year, and volunteer blood donors give them a chance for recovery and better, healthier lives.
Because it’s rewarding.
We appreciate our donors’ time and effort. So we are constantly working with our partners in the community to reward our donors. Check our website regularly to stay up to date on what our donors can receive for their donation.
More importantly, our donors are heroes. Every day, their donations save and improve the lives of patients throughout our community.
